If higher quality card frames can be obtained, they can simply replace the files found at /images/cards/. The generated images can be printed at 300 pixels/inch. Scaling up the card frames did not increase the card frame quality, instead it allowed for the use of much higher resolution art, symbols, and text. I then scaled them up to 1050x736 and applied some sharpening. Qetu, yes, I used the highest quality card frames available. To create cards with mine you have to add entries to /data/cards.csv (or replace the file entirely). However, MSE does have the advantage of a UI for card creation while my generator is a console application. You should find an order of magnitude difference in generated image quality. New cards (including non-MTG cards) can be added to the card database (a simple CSV file) and generated. Pages of cards can be generated for printing proxies. Decklist cards are generated listing all the cards in the deck, sideboard, colors, deck title, and formats the deck is legal in. The card art is done using crops and is scaled, keeping the correct proportions. The utility can generate any MTG card up to RAV, including flip cards, dual cards, dual mana cost cards, Vanguard card frames, and both pre-8th and post-8th card frames.Įverything except the art is generated from scratch, making every card pixel perfect.
